Employee welcome kit ideas: what to put in a new-joiner onboarding kit

A welcome kit is often a new employee's first physical experience of your company. A thoughtful one makes day one feel organised. A random one ends up in a drawer.

What to include

Apparel

A t-shirt, polo or hoodie with the company logo is the centrepiece of most kits, and new joiners wear it in their first-week photos. Choose something comfortable enough to wear outside work: a soft cotton tee such as the Premium Crew Neck Tee or a hoodie.

Desk essentials

A notebook, a good pen and a sticker sheet or badge. Simple, used daily, and on-brand.

Drinkware

An insulated bottle or coffee tumbler. Pick one with a quality finish; it will sit on their desk for years.

A personal touch

A printed welcome card from the team or manager, and the name printed on the box sleeve or card. It costs very little and is remembered.

Packaging

A rigid box with your logo turns a few items into a "kit". Inserts that hold each item in place make it feel finished and protect it in transit.

Planning kits for ongoing hiring

Budget tiers

Apparel in kits follows our usual corporate minimum of 25 pieces per design. Tell us your hiring volume and per-kit budget and we will put options together, or browse corporate gifting.

Choosing the apparel

Apparel is the item new joiners use most, so it deserves the most thought:

Prices are per piece before GST, plus branding (₹75 for a chest print).

Sustainable kits

Choose reusable and recycled items: a steel bottle, a recycled-paper or cork notebook, a tee made with recycled fibres, and kraft packaging without plastic filler. It suits most company values and looks good in unboxing photos.

Remote and hybrid joiners

For remote joiners the kit is the main physical connection to the company, so it matters even more. Ship it to arrive before day one, include a card with first-week information, and avoid fragile items.

Making it repeatable

Once the first batch is approved, keep the exact specification: items, colours, logo positions and box design. Every new batch then looks identical, and reordering takes one message.
